2017 Group Build

Welcome to the IPMS Richmond group build for 2017! In preparation for the Roanoke Valley Shootout on August 12 at the Salem Civic Center, we thought it would be interesting for as many IPMS Richmond members as possible to build and enter a Bradley IFV--any version, any kit, any scale. Further discussion at our May 8 meeting.

Please post progress, issues, or questions about your build here--just be sure to label it "2017 Group Build" to ensure it remains with all the other posts.

If I can get 2 kits done before June meet, I think I'll attempt to endeavor to commence and/or start considering doing a build/recreation/representation/model of a Bradley. Look forward to further news releases in this arena.

I ordered the Tamiya kit via Hobby Town, it arrives there Friday. I have also searched out some detail sets on line found "Quickwheel" mask sets on E Bay, there are tons of these mask sets example here http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-35-QUICKWHEEL-QW-136-M2-M2A2-M3-Bradley-Tamiya-35131-35132-35152-35264/262182902800?_trksid=p2060778.c100290.m3507&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160727114228%26meid%3D5bc375f5bcb24802a99f23fdf03cd0bb%26pid%3D100290%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D262182902800

Picked up my 1/35th Tamiya M2 Bradley IFV from Hobbytown, got it home and did a box inspection, did not realize even this one has an interior. Picked up some other goodies and a jar of static grass, which I'll share with whoever wants some later. 3 detail sets and an aftermarket tow cable as well. I guess I'm committed, or should be now :OL
